A legal challenge has been launched to plans by six Sutton Coldfield schools to join forces and move out of state control.
The six primary schools – Boldmere Infant and Nursery, Boldmere Juniors, Holland House Infant and Nursery, Minworth Junior and Infants, New Oscott Primary and Penns Primary – have written to parents last month and said that each of their governing boards have agreed to apply to become a multi-academy trust (MAT).
Around 100 parents and concerned parties took part in a public meeting at the Carpenters Arms in Boldmere on Sunday, October 14, with a panel of experts, with some teachers and governors from the schools also attending.
