Free school bids ordered to be disclosed

The identity of groups wanting to open free schools will have to be publicly revealed, despite the objections of the government.

The Department for Education has been told to publish details of applicants wanting to set up a free school.

    Good, high time too. We have spare places in good schools and yet there is a religious free school being given funding and its opposite, some steiner like hippy school with marijuana smoking parents. I think its time we found out who is running the or setting up these schools and why they should have funding over respite homes,libraries, more investment in our schools for extra support, when capacity in local decent schools.
