Montgomery Primary staff to stage 2nd strike against academy proposal

NUT, NASUWT and GMB members at Montgomery School in Birmingham are due to strike against being forced to become an academy. They will strike on Wednesday 25th January.

The staff first struck on Tuesday 13th December. They were joined on the picket line by dozens of parents.

Parents at the school are campaigning against the the proposal. They recently handed in a 700 strong petition demanding a proper consultation.

On Thursday 26th January the parent’s campaign is holding a public meeting. Details to follow soon.
