  1. Chad Leslie says:

My stepdaughter’s secondary school have sent home a letter telling parents that the school is applying for academy status. We have been invited to a meeting at which they will be promoting the benefits of academy status. I am opposed to academies and I also know that it is a good school which has good results and a good reputation. Why does it need to be an academy?
It is a Catholic school. what difference does academy status make to faith schools. Is the outcome the same as secular schools who make this change?
