Parents Forum

The NUT is helping organise a parents’ forum meeting in London on Sunday 30th June. The meeting will be attended and led by parents. It aims to build on the work and networks of parents who have organised to resist their schools being turned into academies. It will be an opportunity to share experiences and information and discuss whether there is an opportunity to develop a sustained network/organisation to give parents a voice in the significant education changes that are taking place under the Coalition government including the academy programme, free schools, the fragmentation of the school system and curriculum and examination reforms.
